BearScout
Get Brier-scored against real prediction markets - free
BearScout is a free forecasting game: make probability calls on real prediction-market questions, get Brier-scored against the market's ask price at call time, climb a pseudonymous leaderboard. No real money — just find out if your judgment is signal or noise.
I built BearScout because I kept meeting people (including past me) who "knew" they were good at predicting things but had never kept score. The mechanic: pick a real prediction-market question, lock in your probability, and when it settles you get a Brier score - benchmarked against the market's ask price at the moment you called, not just the outcome. Matching the market = 0 credit. You only score by justifiably disagreeing with the crowd and being right. Deliberately no real money anywhere: no deposits, no payouts. It's calibration training, not trading. (We also shipped a free Brier score & calibration calculator: trader-bear.com/tools/brier-calculator) Two things I'd love feedback on: (1) how we handle thin order books where "the price" is ambiguous, (2) what question categories you'd want beyond our current curated pool.

Who hunted BearScout?
BearScout was hunted by Ray Lei. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
