BeardLog — Beard Growth, measured.
New hair growth routine? Track progress, don’t guess.
Most beard growth apps focus on photos, journaling, or general progress tracking. We focus on measurement. Repeat photos are turned into comparable hair estimates, helping users track changes in estimated hair count and density over time. A consistent baseline and measurement area make it easier to compare progress, while routine tracking connects those measurements to what users are actually trying. Instead of asking “Is it working?”, users get data to help them see what’s changing.
built this out of my own frustration. I started a beard growth routine and quickly realized how hard it was to tell whether it was actually working. I took progress photos, but differences in lighting, angles, beard length, and even my own perception made them difficult to compare.
I wanted something more objective than looking at two photos and thinking, “Maybe it’s fuller?”
That challenge led me to experiment with measuring the same area over time. What started as a personal tool evolved into a way to establish a baseline, create comparable hair estimates, track density changes, and connect those changes to a routine.
The idea is simple: if you’re investing months into growing your beard, you should be able to measure your progress—not second-guess it.
