Batten
Your cognitive receipt for leaving home with confidence.
Did I lock the door? Is the stove off? Batten turns doorway doubt into a hold-to-confirm Round, optional on-device photo proof, and a Vault receipt you can trust — so you stop turning back.
Hey Product Hunt — we built Batten at Small Signal Studio.
We kept hitting that doorway moment: coat on, keys in hand, brain asking “did I lock it / is the stove off?” again. Turning back once is annoying. Turning back three times means the morning is already lost.
Todo apps didn’t help — tapping a checkbox didn’t feel like proof. So we built a leave-home ritual: create a Manifest, run a Round with hold-to-confirm (not a careless tap), optionally snap photo proof that never leaves your phone, then Mark as Departed. Batten stores a Vault receipt — a cognitive receipt you can open later when doubt hits on the commute.
What’s different vs “photo OCD checkers”: the product is the ritual + receipt metaphor, not a clinical compulsion tool. Calm, slightly nautical (“batten down the hatches”), privacy-first.
Free plan is enough for one departure protocol. Premium unlocks unlimited Manifests, photo on every check, geofence reminders, and the full Archive.
Question for you: what’s the one thing you still walk back to re-check after you’ve already left — stove, door, iron, windows, something else?

Batten was hunted by Small Signal Studio. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
