Basketball Excel
NBA stats:interactive tables & charts with exclusive metrics

Hey everyone, I'm the maker of Basketball Excel.
I've been an NBA fan for over 20 years, and I always felt something was missing from the stats we see. Traditional box scores tell you what happened—points, rebounds, assists—but they don't tell you how or why. How difficult were the shots a player took? Who did they actually defend? How much attention did they draw from the defense?
So I built Basketball Excel to answer those questions. It combines interactive data tables and visual charts to explore NBA data going back to the 1996-97 season. The core is a set of metrics I developed myself—Play Type Difficulty, Matchup Versatility, Gravity, Threat, and more.
This started as a personal project to scratch my own itch as a fan, and it grew into something I'm really proud of. There's a free tier, so you can dive right in. I'd love to hear what you think—especially from fellow hoops nerds!
