Baguni
Simple receipt scanning and smart expense categorization
Baguni scans your receipts, sorts them by category, and tracks your monthly spending. Share with your household, set a budget, and see exactly where your money goes.
I’m Doyoung, a CS student and a builder who loves solving real-world friction with AI. I built Baguni because I was tired of surface-level budgeting apps.
"Baguni" (바구니) means "Basket" in Korean. I chose this name to create a place where all your scattered spending data—every single item in your shopping basket—could be collected and understood in one place.
We’ve all seen those tools that show a big, scary red bar at the end of the month. But knowing I spent $500 on "Groceries" never really helped me change my habits. I wanted to dig deeper:
How much was spent on high-quality protein vs. processed snacks?
Was I overspending on produce that I’d eventually just throw away?
The truth is, real change happens in the details, but tracking those details manually is nearly impossible.
How it works: Instead of stopping at the total transaction, Baguni dives straight into the line items. By simply snapping a photo of your receipt, the app parses every single entry to give you a level of detail that most finance tools ignore. It moves beyond generic categories to show you the specific spending patterns that actually drive your lifestyle.
The Result: By turning raw receipt data into these personalized, granular reports, budgeting finally starts to feel obvious instead of painful. You’re not just looking at a total number anymore; you’re looking at a clear map of your choices.
Baguni is live on the App Store now! If you’re looking for a clearer, more detailed picture of your financial health, I’d love for you to give it a try. I'll be here to answer any questions and listen to your feedback! 🚀
