Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm the maker of Bagels. Quick story behind it: Back in high school, my friends and I used to play this game in class — one person would pick a 4-digit number and the rest of us would try to crack it using "bulls and cows" clues (right digit right spot, right digit wrong spot). What I loved about it was how different every round felt. Two people could open with the same guess and end up taking completely different paths to the answer. It's pure deduction, but the route is yours. I wanted Bagels to feel like that high-school game: a tiny daily challenge to play with friends and see who cracks it fastest. There's a daily leaderboard, shareable result grids, and one new code every day for everyone. A few design choices: – Used Fermi and Pico for the clues (from the math-class variant "Pico Fermi Bagels") instead of bulls/cows — more playful, more memorable – Stuck with 4 digits as the sweet spot — 3 is too easy, 5 gets exhausting – Cream + serif aesthetic because I wanted it to feel like the NYT puzzle page, not a video game Would genuinely love feedback — especially on difficulty tuning and whether you'd want variants (3-digit easy, 5-digit hard, unlimited practice mode).
