Hey Product Hunt!
I built Backmark because I kept finding old things,
inherited pieces, flea market finds, and had no idea what they actually
were or whether they were worth anything.
Most "identify this" apps I tried either gave a confident-sounding wrong
answer, or asked for way more photos and info than felt worth the
trouble. So I built Backmark around one photo and one honest answer:
what the mark says, how sure the app really is, and a value range with
its basis instead of a single made-up number. When it isn't sure, it
just says so.
Everything lives on your iPhone, no account, no server, your collection
and photos never leave the device.
I would love your feedback, especially on the confidence system since
that was the hardest part to get right. Happy to answer anything here!
