Backgen
BackGen — Generate Express.js backends
BackGen generates Express.js + TypeScript backends in one command. Pick Prisma, Drizzle, or Mongoose at init, everything else stays identical. Switch ORMs later via manifest (one line change). Ships with auth (JWT/Clerk), RBAC, multi-tenant, production hardening, Docker, Swagger docs, plugin system (Stripe, S3, email, monitoring), and domain presets (SaaS, healthcare, ecommerce, CRM, LMS). Most generators lock you into one ORM, BackGen doesn't
Hey PH! I built BackGen because I was tired of writing the same Express boilerplate
for every project. 15 projects in, I automated it.
Currently at 3 GitHub stars (yes, three) and building in public. The tool already
generates production-ready projects across 3 ORMs with auth, multi-tenant, Docker,
and a plugin system.
Would love feedback from devs who've built their own generators, what did I miss?
