Backgap

Find out who doesn't follow you back on Threads

Chrome extension that shows who doesn't follow you back on Threads and unfollows them in bulk. Scan your whole following list, shield the accounts you want to keep, and unfollow the rest at a pace you set — without ever entering your Threads password.

Top comment

Hi Product Hunt! Threads shows how many people you follow, but not which of them never followed you back. Once a following list passes a few hundred, checking profiles one by one stops being realistic, so I built Backgap.

It scans your whole following list in your own signed-in Threads tab and marks every non-follower in a table. Nothing is unfollowed until you confirm, you choose the delay between actions (5 to 600 s), and shields keep friends or clients out of every bulk run. It never asks for your password.

Not affiliated with Threads, Instagram or Meta. I would love to hear what you would add.

Who hunted Backgap?

Backgap was hunted by Yasin Muratogullari. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
