I'm Krushna, the maker of Backdrop Studio.
Every time I shipped a small project, I'd hit the same wall: my screenshots
looked flat. The product was fine, but the visuals on Twitter and my landing
page were screaming "side project". I'd open Figma, fight with frames, fake a
gradient background, manually round the corners, export, re-export… 20 minutes
per image. For something I'd post once.
So I built Backdrop Studio for myself, and I'm sharing it with you today.
Drop any image → pick a gradient or solid backdrop → tune padding, shadow,
corner radius, grid overlay → export a clean 1600×1200 PNG. That's the whole
loop. About 10 seconds per visual.
A few things that make it different:
• 100% client-side — your images never touch a server. Open the page on
airplane wifi and it still works.
• No signup, no credit card, no watermark, no upload limits.
• Built on the browser Canvas API, so exports are pixel-accurate (not
re-compressed JPEGs).
• Light + dark UI with a really nice gradient picker.
