Azora
Breathe with heart rate feedback from just your phone camera
Azora is a breathwork app that measures your heart rate using only your phone camera. After each session, you also get deeper heart statistics so you can understand your progress over time and how breathing has affected your heart and stress. Azora uses PPG technology to measure your pulse, with about ±1 to 2 BPM error in ideal conditions.
I built Azora because breathwork and meditation have changed my life in ways I can’t even explain. They helped me slow down, feel more present, and even help me perform better during physical activity.
But I wanted to measure the actual effects too. I wanted to see how my body was responding, how stressed I was, and whether I was actually becoming calmer over time.
Azora uses PPG technology through your phone camera to measure your heart rate while you breathe. You place your finger on the camera, start a guided breathing session, and watch your heart rate change.
After each session, Azora also gives you deeper heart statistics such as BPM over time and HRV statistics so you can better understand how your body responds over time.
There's also a standalone heart rate measuring feature that tells you your average BPM.
I’m still improving the product and would love feedback from the Product Hunt community, especially on the onboarding, the heart rate measurement experience, the breathing sessions, and the premium features.
