Hi all! I'm Rhys, the solo developer behind Axion. The idea started from a frustration I'd had for years: every time I wanted to play guitar on a new machine, I'd spend hours installing software, activating licenses, finding impulse responses, and rebuilding my setup. At the time, browser audio wasn't really considered capable of handling serious real-time guitar processing. Recently, I decided to find out how far modern browser technology could be pushed and the result is Axion. You can load amp models, cabinet IRs, effects, MIDI controllers, and even Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) captures directly in the browser with real-time processing and low latency. Since the first release, Axion has also grown to include native desktop applications and plugin versions for Windows and macOS, with ASIO and WASAPI Exclusive support on Windows. A few things I'd love feedback on: • How was the setup experience? • How does the latency feel on your system? • What features would make you switch from your current rig? I'll be around all day to answer questions and hear your thoughts. Thanks for checking it out!

Who hunted Axion?

Axion was hunted by Rhys Jones. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
