AuthenTools Background Remover
Remove image backgrounds in your browser. Nothing uploaded.
Remove the background from any photo for free. The AI runs inside your browser, so your image never leaves your device. No signup, no watermark, no upload queue. Touch up edges with a brush, then download a transparent PNG.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Zubair, the maker of AuthenTools.
I built this because every background remover I tried wanted me to upload my photo to a server first, and often to sign up or accept a watermark. For ID photos, product shots and anything personal, that never felt right.
So this one works differently: the AI model runs entirely in your browser. Your photo isn’t uploaded anywhere. You open the page, add an image, and download a transparent PNG. If the cutout isn’t perfect, you can fix the edges with a brush.
A few honest notes:
The first run downloads the model (about 45 MB), then it’s cached. After that it’s fast.
It uses a lightweight model, so very fine hair or busy backgrounds can need a quick touch-up with the brush.
It’s part of AuthenTools, a free set of 100+ private browser tools (PDF, image, OCR, video and more), but this tool works fully on its own.
I’d really like your feedback: which photos does it struggle with, and what would make you use it every day? I’m replying to every comment today. Thank you for trying it!
