Hey Product Hunt! I built Aureca because I kept hearing the same thing from people in back-to-back meetings: "I just need to record this call without dealing with a massive app, a sign-up flow, and a privacy policy I didn't ask for." Every recorder I found was either bundled into a bigger product, required an account, or had a freemium model designed to upsell you within five minutes. So I made the recorder I wished existed. Aureca lives as a tiny floating icon on your desktop - not even in the taskbar. Click to record, click to stop. It captures both sides of the conversation (system audio + mic) and saves a wav file locally. No account. No cloud. No catch. It's completely free. I am a solo developer working on AI tools for live meetings (that's my main project, SmartOnCall), and I wanted to give something genuinely useful back to the community. I'd love to hear what you think.
