Hey everyone, we're very excited to be sharing the first product from Augmend. My cofounder Tim and I have spent our careers building and working on complex software products with many moving parts. We've always complained about how much time is spent in the human to human collaboration and sharing space where so much happens but so much is hard to find again (many times losing tribal knowledge altogether) as teams turnover and change, and where the most senior engineers spend a large amount of their time just repeating themselves.
Augmend handles that by taking the best of just being able to look over someone's shoulder and chat while you debug an issue or share how to do something, and pairing it with the intelligence of AI so that such a 1 on 1 discussion can be available async at any time. This is part Loom-like video, part GPT/Assistant-like understanding and generation, and all focused on actionable learning for developers, not surface level appeal for sales or marketing.

Who hunted Augmend?
Augmend was hunted by Diamond Bishop. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
