Audio Menu
Per-app volume control from your Mac's menu bar.
Mac treats all audio as one stream. Audio Menu fixes this! It’s a lightweight menu bar app letting you control the volume of each application independently. Built with native Core Audio, it's fast and 100% private: no accounts, no analytics, and zero telemetry. (macOS 14.2+)
Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm the maker of Audio Menu.
I built this app out of pure frustration: I was tired of macOS treating all system audio as a single master volume. Trying to lower my music while listening to a meeting was always a juggling act.
I wanted a solution, but I didn't want to install a massive "bloatware" audio suite that asks for a login and tracks my usage. So, I built Audio Menu.
Here is what makes it different:
✨ Focused: Per-app volume control right from the menu bar.
⚡ Lightweight: Built with native Apple Core Audio. Fast and seamless.
🔒 100% Private: No accounts, no analytics, no telemetry.
If you use a Mac daily (macOS 14.2+), I’d love for you to try it out. Your honest feedback, what you loved, what bothered you, or what's missing, helps me a lot.
Thank you for your support! 🚀
