ATSPrep
The resume builder that shows what ATS software reads
ATSPrep is a local-first resume studio for building stronger, ATS-readable resumes. Most resume tools give you a score and ask you to trust it. ATSPrep keeps the resume visible while you match it to a job, highlights the exact evidence behind each match, and flags vague claims that need numbers, scope, or outcomes. When you export, X-Ray reads the final PDF back and shows what survived. Resume data stays in your browser. No account, watermark, upload, or export paywall.
Hey Product Hunt - I built ATSPrep because I kept seeing the same frustrating pattern in resume tools: they return a score, but they rarely show enough evidence to explain it.
I wanted the resume itself to stay at the center of the workflow. In ATSPrep, you can import an existing resume or start from a scored role template, paste a job description, and see the matching evidence highlighted directly inside the live preview. The Proof Engine then points to vague or unsupported claims instead of rewriting your experience into polished-sounding filler.
The part I care about most is X-Ray. After ATSPrep creates the PDF, it opens those exact bytes again, extracts the text, and shows what survived. “ATS-friendly” should be something a product demonstrates, not a badge it asks you to trust.
I also made it local-first. Resume content and pasted job descriptions stay in the browser, there is no account requirement, and PDF and DOCX exports are free.
This launch includes:
• one unified editor and live preview
• job-match coverage, gaps, and inline evidence
• per-claim Proof feedback
• seven scored templates across technical and non-technical careers
• PDF, DOCX, and final-file X-Ray verification
I would genuinely like feedback on two things: Is the matching evidence clear enough at a glance? And what role template should I add next?

Who hunted ATSPrep?
ATSPrep was hunted by Abubakar Ali. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
