I built it because every mind mapper I liked had become a subscription, and the maps I made were locked inside the tool. Atlas Red is the opposite on both counts: Pro is a one-time $99 with all future updates (Free is free forever, no card), and every map exports any time — Markdown, OPML, XMindMark, FreeMind, PNG, PDF and more — on the Free tier too.
New this month: Atlas Red is in the ChatGPT app directory. Mention @ Atlas Red in any chat and ask for a map; it builds a real, editable one in your workspace. Claude and any other MCP client connect to the same server at app.atlas-red.com/mcp. Both are free and never metered.
The AI import is optional and pay-as-you-go: a whiteboard photo costs about a cent, a full meeting transcript 10–30 cents, and failed jobs are never charged. Or plug in your own API key on Pro at zero markup.
