AssetForge
Premium Unity URP assets that actually work on import
Unity developers waste hours fixing broken store assets. AssetForge ships production-ready VFX, shaders, 3D models & UI kits — all URP-native, drop-in prefabs, zero setup. Built by a developer who was tired of the same problem.
I was building my own Unity game and kept buying assets from the Unity Asset Store. Every single time — broken prefabs, no URP support, documentation that was 3 lines long, support that never replied.
I was a full-stack engineer and a Unity technical artist. I knew exactly what good looked like. And nothing on the store met that bar.
One day I sat down and calculated how many hours I had wasted just fixing assets I paid for. It was weeks. Not hours — weeks.
That was the moment. I stopped buying and started building.
Unity developers waste enormous amounts of time on assets that don't work. They buy something that looks stunning in the preview, import it, and get a screen full of errors.
The Unity Asset Store has 70,000+ assets but almost no quality standard. Anything gets listed. Buyers have no way to know if something is production-ready before spending money on it.
The problem isn't just broken assets. It's lost time. Every hour a developer spends fixing a broken asset is an hour they're not building their game. For a solo indie dev with no team and no funding — time is everything.
AssetForge solves that. Every asset we ship works the moment you import it. URP-ready, drop-in, properly documented, actually supported.
We're not selling assets. We're selling time back to developers.
When I started I thought the product was the hard part. Build great assets, list them, people buy. Simple.
I was completely wrong.
The first thing I learned was that nobody finds you if you don't tell them you exist. I had a working store with quality assets and zero visitors. So I started building in public — posting on X, LinkedIn, Instagram. Documenting the journey honestly.
Then I started looking at Google Analytics. 66 users, 3 countries — USA, Germany, Austria — all organic, zero marketing spend. That told me the demand was real. But 2 second average session time told me my landing page wasn't converting.
So I shifted focus from building more assets to fixing the funnel. Hero section, social proof, loading states, copy.
The biggest evolution was realising that building a marketplace is actually three products in one — the assets themselves, the store experience, and the marketing engine. All three have to work together.
I'm still learning. But I'm learning faster than I expected.

Who hunted AssetForge?
AssetForge was hunted by Yash Nigam. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
