AssessrLog

Run Every Federal Assessment in One Place.

AssessrLog is an assessment platform that runs a regulated assessment end to end and produces a defensible, cryptographically sealed record, where other tools are general-purpose GRC suites built to track controls for a security team. It launches with CMMC Level 1 for the U.S. Defense Industrial base and is built for the assessments that follow. Users can work every objective, attach the evidence, and seal each determination in a hash-chained ledger.

Hey Product Hunt, I'm Chris, co-founder and CTO of AssessrLog. I designed and built every screen you are looking at. Before this I was a founding engineer and principal engineer at two U.S. companies that went public via an IPO. My co-founder Jeff, our CEO, held a DoD Top Secret clearance and spent his career at Deloitte, Booz Allen Hamilton, LinkedIn, and Cigna. More than 200K companies in the U.S. Defense supply chain have to prove their cybersecurity maturity against CMMC Level 1 every year, and about 142,000 of them are small businesses. When it is done, a senior official signs an affirmation in a system called SPRS, the Pentagon's supplier database, that the company meets all 15 requirements. That signature carries real legal weight. The DoD's own estimate for doing it by hand is about $5,977 a year, and most of that work still lives in a spreadsheet with screenshots in a folder. On any given day, nobody can say exactly where the assessment stands. I built AssessrLog to run that self-assessment and always show you exactly where it stands. You can: • Map where your contract data lives, then work all 59 objectives a little at a time. • Close the laptop, nothing is lost, and it reopens on the exact objective you left. • Log every determination (MET, NOT MET, or N/A) with its evidence, so every answer has proof behind it. • Come back any day and see what is done, what is not, and what needs attention. • Every decision is sealed into a hash-chained ledger that re-verifies itself, so the record holds up when someone asks during an audit. • A readiness gate shows exactly what still blocks sign-off, then assembles the package your signing official needs for SPRS. Three things I refused to build, on purpose. There is no readiness score, because Level 1 does not have one. The AI assist explains and guides but never makes a determination. And AssessrLog never submits to SPRS and never affirms for you. That step stays with your official. Live since September 1. $99 a month billed annually, or $149 month to month. If you just want to see where you stand today, the free readiness check needs no account: https://assessrlog.com/readiness... Two questions for you. If you have ever signed off on a compliance package, what did you wish you could see behind it? And for the MSPs here, what would it take for you to run 20 clients through this?

Who hunted AssessrLog?

AssessrLog was hunted by Chris Burkhardt. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
