Assetlog
open data layer for listings
Open data for LLMs. While other platforms lock your data in, AssetLog opens it up — so any AI can search, post and edit listings, and help you find what you need.
Hey
Quick story on why I built this. Almost every listings portal does the same thing: they lock your data behind APIs you can't read, paywalls, and "no scraping" rules. Your data ends up being their asset, not yours. A buyer has a million questions about any listing, and they'll never all fit on one page. So instead of guessing which ones to answer, you just hand over the structured data and let people ask whatever they actually care about.
AssetLog does the opposite. It's an open data platform for listings: cars, jobs, CVs and homes. Everything gets published through a public API that both people and AI can actually read.
Here's the thing I keep thinking about. Everyone optimizes for Google ranking, but that only works if people still visit websites. They're starting not to. A website is just an interface, and it eats your time and attention. More and more, people just ask an AI instead. When that happens, ranking as we know it stops mattering. The real fix is MCP: you expose your listings through it, and an AI can search and act on them directly. No website, no scraping, nothing in between.
It also saves a ton of tokens. Right now data is scattered everywhere, so every time an AI looks for a listing it crawls dozens of pages full of ads and scripts, and you pay for all of it. AssetLog puts it in one place. One call, clean JSON back.
That's the whole idea. Open the data, and let people and AI actually use it.
Would love to know what you think
Thanks.

Who hunted Assetlog?
Assetlog was hunted by Jan Fűri. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
