I built Ask Iris because I wanted a calmer, more private way to ask AI about the things already on my screen.
It started as a local ChatGPT-style app, but that space quickly became crowded. The more useful direction became visual work: screenshots, images, PDFs, short clips, receipts, UI bugs, invitations, diagrams, and other bits of context that are awkward to paste into a normal chat box.
Ask Iris is now a private visual AI workspace for Apple devices:
Attach screenshots, images, PDFs, camera captures, and short clips.
Choose from a curated local model library, or add a compatible Hugging Face / MLX model.
Save useful captures as Visual Clips so you can reuse context later.
Keep chats, attachments, clips, and model inference on your device.
Use it across Mac, iPhone, and iPad.
The app starts with an unlimited 14-day trial. After that, Ask Iris Pro is a one-time unlock, not a subscription.
