Aside
The answer, right when they ask. Mac and Windows.
Aside hears your meeting, transcribes it on your computer with a local Whisper model, and streams Claude-powered answers into a floating panel beside your call. When you hang up it writes the wrap-up: overview, key questions, action items, and a follow-up email draft. For sales calls, support, standups, client meetings, interviews and lectures. macOS and Windows, 7-day free trial, Pro $19/mo, Max $39/mo.
I'm Osiris. Solo dev, first launch here, slightly terrified.
Aside started because I work and interview in English, which is my second language. Someone asks you a question, you know the answer, and the word you need just isn't there. Two seconds of silence feels like a minute.
It has grown well past that. It's a copilot for the whole call now: sales calls, support, standups, client meetings, lectures, and yes, interviews. It hears the meeting, transcribes on your machine, and streams an answer into a small panel beside your call. When you hang up it writes the wrap-up for you, with the key questions, action items, and a follow-up email draft.
Privacy shaped how it's built. A Whisper model runs locally and does the transcription, so your meeting audio never leaves your computer. When you actually want an answer, a snippet of transcript goes to Claude. That's the only thing that leaves, and nothing gets stored.
On the question some of you are already typing: yes, the panel is excluded from screen capture, the same way password managers keep credentials out of recordings. That's so your own notes and half-written drafts don't end up in a recorded demo. It is not there to hide that you use it. I'd tell anyone to mention Aside the way they'd mention taking notes, and where you have been asked not to use an assistant, like a proctored exam, don't.
Ask me anything about the build (native on both platforms, local Whisper, a server-side Claude proxy so the API key isn't sitting in the app, Paddle for billing).

Who hunted Aside?
Aside was hunted by Osiris. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
