ARTE passes the CPA exam and it’s outperforming human CPAs by 22% 🤯
We built ARTE to automate our own business (we help real estate investors defer taxes with a 1031 exchange), which requires detailed, accurate and well-cited tax research for our customers and partners. We trained ARTE to always share links to its sources and uploaded thousands of documents relevant to tax and accounting for it to rely on. ARTE is already saving hundreds of dollars per hour on research that otherwise would require an experienced CPA or a tax lawyer.
Under the hood, ARTE uses Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), OpenAI embeddings, Vercel’s AI Chatbot, Pinecone vector search, and is hosted on AWS using Flightcontrol.
ARTE is benchmarked against OpenAI models and human CPAs. ChatGPT 4.0 is almost as good as human CPA candidates, but ARTE outperforms both. You can read more about its performance and benchmarking in this post on our Engineering Blog.
