Art Supply Tracker
AI-Powered Hands-Free Tools for Artists
Track supplies, projects, notes, and materials without breaking your creative flow.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Kim, a visual artist and the founder of Art Supply Tracker.
The idea began when I needed to document my artwork and supplies before putting them into storage. I tried to find an app that understood both studio inventory and the creative process, but most options were designed for retail products, warehouses, or finished artwork—not artists actively making things.
With 20 years of experience in broadband technical support, I was comfortable solving technology problems, but I had never built an app. After hearing about vibe coding, I decided to try building the tool I needed myself.
Art Supply Tracker is now a working web beta built in VS Code with ChatGPT and Claude Code and powered by AWS. Artists can inventory supplies and tools, create project cards, connect materials with works in progress, and organize images and notes.
Next, I’m developing hands-free AI features and photo recognition so artists can update their studio records without interrupting their creative flow.
I’d love feedback from artists, makers, and anyone building tools for creative work. What would make studio inventory genuinely useful to you?
