ArcVault — Architecture File Management
File management built for architecture teams
ArcVault is a local-first file management platform built specifically for architects, interior designers, and design studios. Organize projects, manage file versions, standardize naming, control access, and collaborate across your studio without forcing your workflow into a generic cloud file manager. Built around the tools and workflows design teams already use.
I'm Emad, an architect by background and the founder of ArcVault.
I built ArcVault after seeing how much time architecture teams lose to messy project folders, inconsistent file names ("Final_Final_v3_REAL.dwg" anyone?), multiple file versions, and files scattered across different tools.
ArcVault is a Windows desktop app built around architecture workflows, with a local-first approach so studios keep their files under their own infrastructure. It includes:
🔹 Standard project structure with folder templates and naming presets
🔹 Numbered file versions with the author and a change note
🔹 Plugins for AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino and SketchUp: mark an issue on the model and the designer gets a task with the file attached
🔹 Permissions, activity tracking, backups and a built-in assistant
This is our first public launch, and I'm excited to finally share it.
If you work in architecture, interior design or visualization, I'd love to hear how your studio manages project files today and what still frustrates you.
