I built Arborist because I needed a way to get my projects in order. I had a bunch of worktrees, and I had to come up with convoluted scripts to run my common commands in each of them. I use the same apps (Nova, Xcode, Git Tower) no matter which project I'm working on and I found it all too easy to have Xcode pointing to one branch and Nova pointing to another. With Arborist I can ensure that my tools are open to the same checkout by closing the other windows for that app before Arborist opens my selected checkout. It's really helped me regain some of my sanity!
