As a people manager, planning org changes and making sure my team has the right structure and mix of roles to achieve our goals is part of my job. The tools I had were slides that went stale, spreadsheets, and HR systems that were too rigid for exploring different team structures. So I built Arbol. I wanted a straightforward way to explore changes, compare options, and keep a history of how a plan evolved. I also needed charts I could bring into real planning discussions. Arbol lets you save snapshots, compare versions to see what changed, and review org metrics like span of control. You can export charts as PDF, Images or PowerPoint with editable shapes and connectors. I use it to keep my org charts up to date and plan changes to my own org. Everything runs in your browser, and your org data stays on your device. There’s no signup or tracking, and the code is open source.
