Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I built ArancelLatam after watching importers in Latin America struggle with the same spreadsheet calculation for years.
Here's the problem: if you're importing anything to Colombia, Mexico, Peru — or any of the 12 LatAm countries we cover — you need to calculate:
- FOB value
- Freight + insurance to get CIF
- Import duty (varies wildly: 0% for tech, 35% for textiles in some countries)
- VAT on top of that (16%-22% depending on country)
- Country-specific extras (Peru IPM 2%, Mexico DTA 0.8%, Argentina tasa estadística 3%)
- Apply FTA preferences if origin qualifies (USMCA, Peru-China, Colombia-USA, etc.)
Most people do this in Excel. Customs brokers charge $50-200 per quote. There was no free tool covering all 12 LatAm countries with current data.
So I built one. Free, no signup, 5 seconds.

- 9 countries have 8-10 top tariff lines vs 20 for CO/MX/PE
- Exchange rate (TRM) is currently static — adding daily cron this week
- No support yet for ISC (excise tax for vehicles/alcohol)
