Hi Product Hunt. I’m Karolina; I built appkeep with my husband Sander, who has managed buildings professionally for more than 20 years.
The gap we’re closing: professional property managers treat a building as a set of components with known lifespans. They budget replacements before failure, brief contractors in writing, and keep a multi-year plan. Homeowners own the same kind of asset with none of that operating model, so every failure arrives as a surprise and every quote is a negotiation entered blind.
appkeep gives you that model for your own house. You register the house once and get a year-by-year plan of what’s coming and what it costs, a fair-price check when a quote lands, and a written brief (a mandate) that commits the contractor to scope and price before work starts.
The methodology is deliberately public: the guides, the glossary, and the quote calculator are free with no signup. The app is €37/year, and it’s designed to be barely opened — no streaks, no feed, no engagement mechanics. The site makes zero third-party requests; analytics is first-party and cookieless.
We’re starting with Finland, the Netherlands, and Sweden, because the cost data is researched per country; the rest of the EU is next, and beyond Europe after that.
