It started with a simple frustration: every app told me the sun sets “around 9:20 pm”. As a sky lover, I wanted the exact second — for golden-hour photos, for astronomy, for the sheer beauty of precision.
Aphélie computes sunrise, sunset, solar noon and the three twilights (civil, nautical, astronomical) to the second, for 7,324 cities or any GPS coordinates — NOAA solar algorithm. It shows how much daylight you gain or lose each day, compares two places side by side, and works offline once loaded.
