Turn your phone into a second screen and trackpad for PC
Any Command turns an Android phone into a second screen, trackpad, keyboard and gamepad for Windows. Stream one window to the phone and use it there while a film stays fullscreen on the monitor. Runs on your own network, or over Bluetooth with no PC install. Free tier, no account, and the PC app is a plain Windows install.
I built this because of a genuinely stupid problem.
I have one monitor. When something is playing fullscreen on it, the machine is
occupied but I still want to answer a message or check a build. Alt-tabbing
kills the fullscreen. A second monitor was the sensible answer and I did not
want to buy one.
So Any Command can send a single PC window to the phone, and input from the
phone goes to that window only. The film keeps the monitor and never loses
focus. That took by far the longest to get right: Windows really does not want
you delivering clicks to a background window, and Chromium apps stop rendering
entirely the moment they think nobody can see them.
The rest of it grew out of the same "phone is right there" idea over about two
years: a proper trackpad with gestures, a keyboard, shortcut panels you build
yourself, a home screen widget that can fire an automation, file transfer,
clipboard sync, a gamepad, and a live view of CPU and RAM for when a render is
running and you are not at the desk.
There is also a Bluetooth mode where the phone pairs as an ordinary keyboard and
mouse. Nothing installed on the PC at all, which turned out to be the only thing
that works on locked-down work laptops and meeting room machines.
It is one dev, no company, no funding, no account to create, everything runs on
your own network unless you deliberately turn on internet access.
For today: the first 50 people who comment get a Premium code. Reply with
your phone model and I will send you one. I read every comment, and I have
shipped fixes on the same day from Reddit threads before, so tell me what breaks.
One thing I would genuinely like to know: if you have a spare screen sitting in
your pocket all day, what would you actually put on it? I keep finding new
answers to that and it keeps changing what I build next.
