AntiRot
Block apps behind real friction, not just timers
AntiRot is a focus blocker that replaces flimsy timers with real friction. Most blockers let you tap "5 more minutes" and undo everything — AntiRot makes you complete a challenge (breathing reset, math problem, journal prompt, push-ups) before a blocked app or site unlocks. Group apps + websites into rule sets instead of configuring each one, add strict mode and cooldowns for extra resistance. Built for anyone who opens "just a quick check" and loses an hour.
Hey Product Hunt
I built AntiRot because I kept "winning" against every blocker I tried — snooze the timer, disable the block, five minutes turns into an hour. The problem wasn't awareness, it was that undoing a block took zero effort.
So instead of a countdown, AntiRot puts a real friction challenge between you and the blocked app or site — a breathing reset, a quick math problem, a journal prompt, or push-ups. You can still get in, but you have to actually want it enough to do the work.
Along the way I added group-based rules (so you're not configuring every app one by one), strict mode for people who want harder anti-bypass options, and micro-blocking to catch short-form video loops inside apps you still need for messages.
Would love feedback on the friction challenges — which ones actually stop you, and which ones you just power through.
