ANTagony – The Ant Prisoner's Dilemma
Cooperate or betray — an AI partner remembers everything
Cooperate or betray — your partner remembers. I photographed ants for years. Then I wondered what it would feel like to be one. ANTagony is a roguelite built around a prisoner's dilemma. You're a worker ant. Your AI partner adapts, remembers, and turns against you if you deserve it. 4 variables. 50+ dilemmas. 25 endings. Every image: real macro photography. No assets. The game also remembers your past runs. Betrayals accumulate. So does trust. A systems experiment disguised as a narrative.
Happy to answer any questions about the game design, the AI behavior logic, or why ants specifically. The prisoner's dilemma angle wasn't a marketing decision but it was the starting point. Would love to hear if anyone sees parallels with other systems they've worked on.
