Anomess
Peek into other people's YouTube algorithm feeds
Ever wonder what YouTube recommends to someone competely different from you? Anomess lets you peek int the YouTube home feeds of 12 fictional personas — awealthy Silicon Valley expat, a Japanese teen, a retred solo traveler, an Italian banker, and more. Eac persona has a real YouTube account trained over monhs to build a genuine algorithm. See what videos ther feed surfaces — not curated lists, but actual algoithmic recommendations.
I built Anomess because I was curious what YouTube actually looks like from other people's perspectives — not as a thought experiment, but literally.
Each of the 12 personas has a real YouTube account I've been training for months by watching videos, subscribing to channels, and building watch history that matches who they are. A retired solo traveler in her 50s. A Japanese high school meme spreader. A wealth-obsessed single in their 30s. A Torino banker.
The result is genuinely surprising — the algorithm doesn't just show different content, it shows a completely different world. Same platform, totally different reality.
Would love to know which persona's feed surprises you the most!
