Excited to share Animate Anyone 2, the next generation of character animation from Alibaba's Tongyi Lab! This builds on the original "Animate Anyone," but with a huge improvement: it understands the environment.
What does that mean? Instead of just making a character move based on a video, Animate Anyone 2 can actually have the character interact with the scene realistically. Think a character sitting on a chair, bouncing a ball, or dodging obstacles – all generated from a single image and a motion video.
This is a big step beyond just swapping characters into videos, it's about creating believable interactions.
