Amberlog
A sourcing journal that writes itself as you browse Amazon
A free Chrome extension that passively captures price, BSR, rating, and seller history as you browse Amazon - a sourcing journal that builds itself, instead of a spreadsheet you keep forgetting to update. Unlike tools built for watching competitors over time, this is for the earlier stage: browsing dozens of listings to see what's worth a closer look. Works fully signed out.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I do Amazon FBA sourcing on the side, and the actual research process always bugged me: browsing dozens of listings, checking price and BSR and reviews on each one, then either screenshotting things or copy-pasting into a spreadsheet I'd inevitably stop updating a week in.
So I built Amberlog - it runs quietly in the background while you browse Amazon and captures price, BSR, rating, availability, and seller info on every product page you open. No button to click, nothing to remember. It just becomes a history you can look back on.
A few things I cared about while building it: it works fully signed out (nothing leaves your browser unless you choose to sync), and it's built for the early, exploratory stage of sourcing - browsing 30-50 listings to see what's worth a closer look — rather than ongoing competitor-ASIN monitoring like Keepa or Helium 10 already do well.
Built solo, mostly with Claude Code, over about a week. Free to use, no account required to start.
Would love feedback from anyone who does sourcing, resale, or dropshipping research - especially if something feels off or missing. Happy to answer anything about how it works under the hood too.
