Altmove
The better way to learn Chess!
Altmove helps you learn chess better via in-game coaching (identifies mistakes as you make them) and the ability to pursue an alternate, better move (hence the name). This is far more effective than the post-game analysis all other tools do. Post-game is too late to grasp and internalize the context of the moment which leads to mistakes. You can also import your games from chess-com and lichess to analyze and replay with Altmove to see what you could have done differently.

I built Altmove to learn chess in a structured manner. The USP - in-game coaching (identifies mistakes as you make them) and the possibility of pursuing an alternate, better move (hence the name). This is much better than the post game analysis all other tools do. Post-game is too late to grasp and internalize the context of the moment which leads to mistakes. Altmove focusses on learning, not on playing against others.Others already do that very well. This is the FIIT-JEE to their IIT exam :) When you make a mistake, the game shows you a better move and allows you to branch into a new board with that move so that you can explore the what-ifs. This coupled with a 6-step structured learning progression makes this a promising way to get better. A fun thing thing to do is to import your games from chess.com, respawn them in altmove from wherever you made a mistake, and explore how you could have played it differently. You can even drop in your own Claude key, which makes the move-by-move analysis MUCH more engaging and chatty (though slower since every move triggers an API call). YMMV, but I hope you enjoy it :)
