Alrightly

Privacy first safety check-in service for solo living

Alrightly sends scheduled check-in links by email or push. One tap says you're okay — miss one and your trusted contacts are notified.

Top comment

Alrightly is simple: users sign up to have a check-in link sent to them (via email, SMS, or push notification) every day at a time that they choose. They also identify trusted contacts they would want Alrightly to notify if they needed help. When a check-in link arrives, the user clicks the link to indicate that they are safe. If a user misses a check-in (past a pre-determined grace period), Alrightly notifies the user’s trusted contacts that their friend/relative missed a check-in and may need help. That’s it! Alrightly doesn’t function as a monitoring service or an emergency response, but serves to strengthen social connections that already exist and make it known when those connections are needed most.

Who hunted Alrightly?

Alrightly was hunted by Erin McIntyre. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
