Hi folks, I’m Max, and today my co-founder @peter_crocker and I are excited to share v2 of Aidy. Across industries, companies rely on up-to-date information on hundreds of issues to inform critical decisions. To stay ahead, asset managers hire analysts to read reports while startups often rely on Google Alerts to flag relevant news—yet these approaches all consume resources and risk missing key information. Aidy addresses this pain point by delivering continuous web research on mission-critical issues. Think of Aidy as an AI analyst that understands your company’s goals and priorities; then alerts you via email, slack, or API whenever there’s a relevant update. While Perplexity and Gemini are quite good at providing fast, one-off answers to questions, Aidy is focused on delivering around-the-clock, in-depth research on the key issues that drive company decision-making. Aidy does the hard work of making hundreds of search queries, dozens of LLM calls, and parsing long PDFs to help businesses make million-dollar decisions. In our previous research-centric roles at The Rockefeller Foundation, U.S. Senate, and biotech startups, Peter and I saw how difficult it is to stay on top of new developments in niche areas. We found ourselves researching the same topics again and again to write memos or briefings that would steer significant organizational resources. Pretty quickly, we realized AI can now handle much of this process autonomously. From there, Aidy was born! Here are just a few of the use cases for which companies use Aidy: Market Expansion: Startups, especially those in highly regulated industries, often struggle to decide where and how to play next. Growth teams use Aidy to effectively allocate resources with timely intelligence on market conditions. Investment Research: Sifting through endless reports on market shifts, emerging trends, and regulations slows down decision-making and creates uncertainty. Aidy cuts through the clutter by surfacing the opportunities and risks that directly impact investment strategies. Public Affairs: Rapid changes in legislation, shifting public sentiment, and sudden policy pivots make it challenging for public affairs professionals to maintain their edge. Aidy continuously tracks evolving regulations, stakeholder positions, and media narratives so public affairs teams can anticipate changes rather than simply react to them. In the coming weeks, we aim to add better control over sources, as well as access to deep document stores like regulatory filings and public meeting minutes that don’t show up as easily on Google or Perplexity. Over the next few years, we want to build the definitive knowledge graph of the current state of policy, politics, and markets (as well as the AI agents to traverse it)! If you need to stay up-to-date on happenings in the world to excel in your job, please give Aidy a try and let us know what you think! Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.
