What inspired you to build this? We kept seeing the same shift across every GTM team we worked with: buyers weren’t just Googling anymore—they were asking ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity what to use. And the answers weren’t based on ads or SEO in the traditional sense. The problem was… companies had zero visibility into how they were being represented in those answers—or if they were being recommended at all. What problem does Vidi solve? Vidi helps companies understand and control how AI platforms recommend them. Today, AI tools are acting like the new “front page” of the internet. If you’re not being surfaced—or worse, your competitors are—you’re losing demand before a buyer ever reaches your site. We built Vidi to: → Show how AI models currently see and describe your company → Identify gaps vs competitors in recommendations → Help you improve how often and how strongly you’re recommended How did your approach evolve? Initially, we thought this was just a visibility/monitoring problem—like “SEO for AI.” But as we built it, we realized the real value wasn’t just tracking mentions. It was understanding why AI systems recommend certain companies and turning that into something actionable. So we shifted from a passive reporting tool to a platform that connects signals → positioning → recommendation outcomes. That’s when it started clicking for users—not just “where do we show up,” but “how do we become the default recommendation.
