AI Money Compass

The first AI bugetting App in the market

Budgeting apps die at data entry. Photograph a receipt, say it out loud, or drop in a bank statement — amount, date, merchant and category are filled in for you. Then ask whether you can actually afford the thing you want.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I have started and abandoned six budgeting apps. Every one of them died the same way: not at the charts, at the typing. Three weeks in, a Tuesday gets busy, four receipts go unlogged, and the ledger is a lie. After that you never open it again. So I built the capture end first and everything else second. You log a spend three ways: photograph the receipt, say it out loud, or drop in a bank statement — to start, or just a screenshot, several at a time. Whatever you throw at it lands in one review sheet with the amount, date, merchant, category and account already filled in. You correct what looks wrong and save the batch in a tap. That is the whole ritual, and it takes about eight seconds. The rest is what you would expect, done properly: budgets per category that tell you whether you finish the month over or under, bills and subscriptions detected from your own transactions rather than typed in, an interactive breakdown you can tap into, home-screen widgets, and five languages including Bahasa Melayu and Tamil because I am in Malaysia and every app here ships English-only. The Advisor is the part I am least sure about and most interested in your reaction to. You ask it a plain question — "can I afford a Japan trip next month?" — and it answers from your actual budgets, bills and commitments rather than generic advice. It is off by default and you turn it on, because sending your financial snapshot anywhere should be a decision you make on purpose, not a default you discover later. Two honest things: 1. Android is in internal testing, not public. There is a list on the site and I would rather you join it than get a broken link. 2. I am a team of one and this is version 1.3. It works, I use it daily as my only money tracker, and there will be rough edges you find before I do. Tell me and I will fix them — the in-app feedback goes to me and gets a reply. What I would most like to know: what killed the last budgeting app you tried? If it was the data entry, I want to hear whether this actually fixes it for you. If it was something else, I probably have not solved your problem yet and I would like to know what it is.
