We built this toolkit after seeing that organizations often struggle with a basic question: “What AI systems are we actually using, and what do we need to know about them?”
Many inventory templates provide a spreadsheet but little guidance on what information to collect or how to use it. I wanted to create something more practical—a ready-to-use workbook combined with a management dashboard, implementation guide, and ISO/IEC 42001 mapping.
As we developed it, the approach evolved from simply documenting AI systems to creating a structured process for discovering, classifying, reviewing, and managing AI systems. The goal was to make it useful not just for creating an inventory, but as a practical starting point for AI governance.
