agntcms
Built on Next.js. Powered by Claude. Owned by you
An opinionated, AI-native CMS framework. A CMS for content websites where your agent is the primary interface. Open source, MIT, self-hosted.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
Over the past 5 years I've been involved in 30+ headless CMS projects. The problems are old and well-documented: vendor lock-in disguised as portability, pricing that scales against you, AI layers bolted on top of architectures designed for human editors, and $50–100K implementations that often don't deliver what was promised.
The shift that convinced me to build agntcms was watching Lee Robinson migrate cursor.com off a headless CMS to Markdown and code in 3 days, $260 in tokens, deleting 322K lines of code. His point was precise: with coding agents, the cost of over-abstraction has never been higher.
The real problem isn't that headless CMS is bad. It's that most teams using it marketing sites, landing pages, content portals never needed that complexity. They were pushed into it because there was no third option between no-code ceilings and full headless overhead.
agntcms is that third option. Open source (MIT), self-hosted, built directly into Next.js. No SaaS, no per-seat pricing, no surprise bills. The primary interface isn't a dashboard, it's your agent. A marketer adds a page or localizes content through conversation. A founder runs a content migration without filing a developer ticket.
It's not for everyone. Large editorial teams with approval workflows should stay on headless. But for the majority of content sites that never needed that infrastructure in the first place, this is built for you.
Would love your feedback, issues, and PRs on GitHub 🙏
