Agent Island

AI night-watch for Claude Code and Codex runs

Agent Island lives in the MacBook notch and shows whether Claude Code or Codex is running, waiting, stalled, or ready to resume. It is a local-first macOS app for heavy agentic coding users who want clearer 5-hour reset and weekly usage feedback without babysitting terminals.

Top comment

I built Agent Island because my long Claude Code and Codex runs kept finishing or stalling while I was away. The annoying part was not only the wait; it was the lack of a small, honest signal for still running, your turn, stalled, or reset window passed. It is a native macOS app that uses the notch / menu-bar area as the state surface. Session monitoring is local. Auto-resume is explicit and opt-in because it can spend tokens. I would especially like feedback from people who run agentic coding tasks for hours: what state should be visible at a glance?
