I wanted to build something that could provide meaningful emotional support without feeling generic or performative. I saw a gap between traditional affirmation apps, which often serve the same quotes to everyone, and how differently people actually feel day to day.
Affirmi started as a simple idea: personalize affirmations around someone's mood. As I built it, the idea evolved into a broader emotional wellness experience, adding AI personalization, voice, mood tracking, emotional insights, favorites, widgets, and a subscription model. The process became less about generating affirmations and more about creating a product that can adapt to the person using it.
