ActivePray
Daily prayer, kept active.
Daily prayer times for iPhone across Judaism, Christianity and Islam: eight branches, each with its own calendar and hours. Offline-first and private.
Top comment
Hi Product Hunt 👋 ActivePray is a daily prayer app for iPhone that serves eight branches of three faiths in one app: Masorti, Reform and Karaite Judaism; Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant Christianity; and Sunni and Twelver Shia Islam. Most prayer apps serve one faith, or treat “religion” as a single setting. I wanted every branch to get its own rules: its own prayer hours, its own calendar and holy days, and its own texts, with none set above another. Karaite dates follow the sighted new moon. The Shia path keeps three sittings. The Orthodox calendar can follow the Old Calendar. The texts come from cited primary sources, not paraphrases. What’s in it: • Prayer times and the direction of prayer, worked out on your phone • Each branch’s holy days, with reminders • Scripture and prayers to read: Tanakh, Bible, Qur’an, psalms, duas • Streaks, mercy days and badges, with time in prayer saved to Apple Health as mindful minutes • Widgets, a Live Activity countdown, and Siri It’s private by design: no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your location never leaves your phone, and the prayer journal is end-to-end encrypted in your own iCloud. The core is free. Active+ adds the journal, a morning prayer alarm that rings on silent, and earlier reminders, with a two-week free trial. I build it on my own, so feedback means a lot, especially from anyone whose faith I’ve got slightly wrong. Which branch should come next?
