Acne Ingredient Checker
Pore-clogging checker that shows where the lists disagree
Paste a product’s ingredients to see what may clog pores, which lab studies and lists flag each one, and how many agree. Plus a free data study: the two classic lab studies agree on only 12 of the 20 ingredients both rated. Free, no sign-up.
My wife and I couldn’t find an acne ingredient checker that showed where its ratings come from. Most give one number with no source.
So this one names the source behind every flag: two lab studies we read in full and two published lists. It shows the rating each gave and how many agree. It also checks a list for fungal acne, using lab tests by yeast species.
Everything runs in your browser, so your list is never sent anywhere. I’d love feedback, especially on ingredients you think are rated wrong.

While building it I found the two classic studies most lists trace back to often disagree. I wrote that up as a free data study, with a CSV under CC BY 4.0: https://acneingredientchecker.com/why-pore-clogging-lists-disagree
