I'm Hasitha, and I built Read PDF Out Loud because I wanted to listen to research papers, and existing text to speech apps kept reading me the wrong things: the copyright notice, eight email addresses, an arXiv stamp, citation numbers, and equations as a jumble of letters.
Read PDF Out Loud reads the page the way you would:
📄 A layout AI looks at every page first. Two-column papers are read in order, and running headers, page numbers, footnotes, citation numbers and the reference list are left out.
