What inspired you to build this? I built Access_Lingua_AI because I kept seeing the same people left out of AI: blind and low‑vision users, neurodivergent users, ESL learners, and speakers of low‑resource or endangered languages. I grew up around people who didn’t have tools built for them, and I realized nobody was making AI that actually respected cultural context or accessibility needs safely. So I'm building it. What problem were you trying to solve? AI is fast, but it isn’t inclusive. It struggles with Tok Pisin, small languages, and communication styles outside the “default.” It’s confusing for ND users, inaccessible for blind users, and ignores endangered languages. I wanted to fix that by creating a multilingual, culturally aware, accessibility‑first tool that supports 840+ languages and helps preserve the ones tech usually overlooks. How did your approach or process evolve while working on this launch? I started with a simple translator idea, but it quickly became clear that people needed more than translation. They needed clarity, tutoring, cultural context, and accessibility features. I rebuilt the tool multiple times, added Tok Pisin and ICT localization, expanded to 840+ languages, and shaped it around real lived experience. The project grew from a small idea into a global preservation‑focused accessibility tool because the community needed it.
